Breakfaster 1930's Toaster Light
$235.00Price
With its art deco styling the Breakfaster was attractive, but also an example of a multi-purpose small appliance. Made between 1936 and 1938, the Breakfaster was a combination cooking appliance and toaster. The top was a hot plate for cooking and the front pull-down door was for toasting slices of bread,
It's been repurposed as a lighted display stand and room accent lighting fixture. I have it shown here as a display for a vintage 8mm movie camera and ViewMaster stereo (3-D) viewer (not included). It's particularly cool with the ViewMaster 'cause the display light doubles as a viewing light. The last photo shows how the Breckfaster was orginally used in the 1930's.
